Today MommyMelee brings us the topic of girl crushes for her series called Girl Talk Thursday.  While my list of girl crushes is rather short I have been crushing on a certain woman for some time.

Pink.

Yes Pink.  She is just so bad ass and yet passionate and vulnerable.  She lets her raw emotions bleed through her lyrics and I find myself mezmorized by her performances.  I can’t take my eyes off her when she is belting out a ballad and I feel like she is sharing her hurt and pain and struggles with the world and that takes real balls courage.

***Side note:  I was looking for a fan site to link to and figured pink dot com would be a good best bet.  NOT SO MUCH. 

It takes a lot to captivate my attention–male or female–but key factors for me are music, passion, creativity, confidence, and empowerment.  Roll those up into a fierce package and that my friends is sexy.

Hello world!  I am in a much better place today, Hawaiian flowers will sure do that for a gal.  My last few blog posts were a little buzz kill-esque, sorry about that.  But I am all better and feeling like myself again so on to happier topics.

Today’s topic comes from a fellow mom blogger mommymelee and her Girl Talk Thursdays series. 

Question:  Lingerie hot or waste of money?

I say hot.  And I also find it prudent to mention I have next to none.  Zip.  The only lingerie I do own is from our wedding and honeymoon and is stuffed in a drawer–lonely and forgotten and probably deteriorating as we speak. 

Let me also say that I think lingerie is hot on other woman.   I on the other hand feel slightly absurd.  The first time I bought a sexy number for my husband–who was my then boyfriend–I snuck in the bathroom, put it on and then refused to come out.  I don’t know why I was so embarrassed but I felt like a clown or one of those ridiculous dogs wearing a polo shirt and booties complete with a tiara–just a little over the top. 

Worse than my not owning any lingerie is the fact that my underwear drawer is missing anything resembling sexy.  It is however home to several dozen pairs of my granny panties.  Ew, I just said panties. 

This needs to be corrected and there is no frame of time that is soon enough.  I finally broke down and bought 2 bras that are not complete with a latch and peek-a-boo system.  It is time my ass get the same kind of love.  You hear that ass?  You are about to be covered in lace and silk.  OK maybe lace and some sort of synthetic softness. 

To me in comes down to how you feel about yourself.  I will feel much more womanly if after my hot steamy shower I lotion up and slip into soft lace instead of something that could be mistaken for my husbands grill cover.  Husband might even appreciate the gesture.

So yep, there you have it.  My vote is anything that makes mama feel hot is going to heat up the bedroom.  And that is never a waste of money.
